As Zee TV ushers in 2026, the channel brings back the warmth of togetherness with Zee Rishton ka mela New Year special, reviving a tradition that once defined festive television viewing. Rooted in Zee TV’s core values of family, emotions, and shared celebrations, the Mela transforms New Year’s into a collective experience, where viewers can sit back with loved ones and welcome the year with their favourite stars, joyous performances, and heartfelt moments, all under one roof.
Adding to the festive spirit is Nia Sharma, who returns to Zee TV after a six-year hiatus, making a special appearance at the grand New Year bash. Walking back onto the Zee stage after years, Nia was overwhelmed by nostalgia as memories of her early days with Jamai Raja came rushing back. Sharing her experience, she said, “Being back on Zee TV feels magical. I was just 23 when I joined Zee with Jamai Raja. I was a little girl then. Today, after 13–14 years, it feels like life has come full circle. I’m still known as Roshni, and that says everything about what this show and this channel gave me.”
Nia revealed that the scale of her welcome took her by surprise. From being treated as a cherished member of the Zee family to performing an extended seven-minute act alongside the entire ensemble, the evening felt deeply special. “All you really need is respect, and that’s exactly how Zee made me feel, like family. I never imagined I’d return to such love after all these years. These shows gave us our identity, and I’ll always be grateful to Zee for trusting me at such a young age,” she added.
As part of the New Year special, Nia will be seen performing not just a single act, but as part of a larger, concert-style celebration with the Zee Parivaar, recreating the magic of iconic Zee festive events from the past. Teasing audiences about what’s in store, she shared that the evening is packed with fun performances, unexpected reunions, laughter-filled moments, and many surprises best experienced on screen.
