In 2016, the young students presented a unique performance creatively representing all the four seasons – summer, monsoon, winter and spring.
The main objective of this competition was to give children an opportunity to understand and experience the change of seasons. Students came on stage with different seasonal dresses, colorful props and small performances. Some showed monsoon with raincoat and umbrella, some showed winter chill with jacket-muffler, some showed summer heat with hat and glasses. The entire campus of the school was seen glowing with the colors of nature.
Students shared information about their favorite seasons, recited short poems, explained in simple language how seasons change our food, clothing and surroundings. Everyone was impressed by the children’s confidence and clarity.
The teachers encouraged each child with loving guidance, so that the children develop communication skills, stage presence, expressiveness and awareness of nature.
Through this competition, qualities like teamwork, creativity and observation were also strengthened in the children.
Parents also highly appreciated this effort of the school. In their view, such activities make learning more interesting and connect children emotionally with the subject.
The season competition held at Vedant International Pre-School was a unique blend of learning, fun and expression—reinforcing the school’s goal of all-round development.
