
On the occasion of World Soil Day, a special educational workshop was organized today at Gujarat Science City. The workshop, conducted to spread the global message of soil conservation, witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 150 students from various schools. During the workshop, students learned in detail about soil composition, its quality, its crucial role in the environment, and modern methods of soil conservation. The Tree Walks Team of the Nature Club at Science City explained to the students the importance of soil in urban life based on the theme “Healthy Soils for Healthy Cities”, and provided inspiring insights on the measures needed to prevent land degradation. Gujarat Science City has always been committed to promoting environmental awareness and a scientific outlook. Through this World Soil Day program, a strong message was conveyed to students about recognizing soil as the fundamental base of the Earth and the need to protect it. On this occasion, Science City emphasized that environmental conservation is a collective responsibility and nurturing this awareness among future generations is highly important.
