Under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has opened a remarkable new chapter in the field of aerial tourism. With the aim of strengthening air connectivity and increasing tourist footfall, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board formally commenced the operation of the ‘PM Shri Heli Tourism Service’ on Thursday, 20 November. The launch took place amidst traditional celebrations, vibrant colours, enthusiasm and a warm welcome from local citizens, creating a festive atmosphere across the state. This service will now operate regularly and is set to give a new and accelerated momentum to the tourism landscape of Madhya Pradesh.
On the first day, public representatives took flights across all three designated sectors as per schedule—Bhopal to Madhai and Madhai to Pachmarhi; Indore to Ujjain and Omkareshwar; and Jabalpur to Kanha and Bandhavgarh. Representatives and mahants experienced these inaugural journeys.
Tourism, Culture and Religious Trusts & Endowments Minister (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi said that the service will offer a fast, convenient and affordable aerial route for spiritual, natural and wildlife tourism. This new heli network will not only save travellers’ valuable time but also boost employment and investment opportunities across the state.
