India’s education sector is experiencing an unprecedented digital transformation, driven by the Government of India’s revolutionary initiatives and schemes. However, this digital shift in the sector has also led to a surge in cyberattacks, now averaging over 7095 weekly attacks per organization. Recent industry reports underscore the urgency, identifying the education sector as one of the most targeted globally when it comes to cyber threats. In August alone, schools and universities in India experienced a 13% year-on-year increase in cyber incidents, with attacks ranging from data breaches and ransomware to phishing and system shutdowns. Gaurav Sood, CEO & Managing Director, Messe Stuttgart India, said, “At Messe Stuttgart India, we are committed to sparking global conversations that are not only aimed at empowering business and economies but also intend to impact lives and communities. As cybersecurity is emerging as one of the alarming threats in the educational ecosystem, Didac India 2025 will play a key role in empowering the education sector with the knowledge, tools, and partnerships needed to secure a digital future.”
