The four-day World Food India 2025 concluded on Sunday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking a major milestone in India’s food processing sector. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Prataprao Jadhav, and Minister of State Ravneet Singh, the event brought together global leaders, policymakers, industry captains, and innovators to discuss the future of food and agriculture.

In his inaugural address, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s role as a reliable global supplier, citing the country’s agricultural diversity, rising middle-class demand, and government initiatives such as 100% FDI, the Production Linked Incentive Scheme, and Mega Food Parks. He also released credit-linked subsidies worth ₹2,518 crore to 26,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, underlining the government’s support for grassroots entrepreneurs.
