
The state has been experiencing rainy weather for the last two days. Today, heavy rains have lashed many districts of the state. Especially in Bhavnagar, Amreli and Junagadh of Saurashtra, a water-bomb situation has been created. The rivers have become inundated. Talgajarda in Mahuva became unreachable. The village was flooded with water. Also, students were trapped in the school. They were rescued. The highest rainfall of 10.25 inches was recorded in Jesar of Bhavnagar. Apart from this, heavy rains also lashed Ahmedabad in the evening. Due to which the underbridge was flooded.

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in the state for the next three hours, i.e. from 7 to 10 pm. In which a red alert has been issued regarding heavy rain in Mahisagar, Kheda, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Botad, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Morbi.
Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued for moderate rain in the districts of Gujarat state, including Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Dahod, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Kutch, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Diu. While a yellow alert has been issued for light rain in scattered places of Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad, Daman, Dadar and Nagar Haveli.
Heavy rains have been predicted in South Gujarat and Saurashtra from today to June 20, while light to heavy rains have been predicted in Central and North Gujarat. Yesterday (June 15), Megharaja caused havoc in some districts of North-South Gujarat and Saurashtra.
