Air India plane crashes near Ahmedabad airport, 100 feared dead, 50 bodies recovered; Airport closed

An Air India plane bound for London from Ahmedabad crashed while taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad. The plane took off from the airport at 1.38 pm and the accident occurred at 1.40 pm. According to initial reports, the incident took place in the IGB compound near Ghoda Camp in Meghaninagar area. During this, plumes of smoke were seen from a distance, which spread fear among the residents of the area. According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the rear part of the plane hit a tree during take-off. It is also said that the accident occurred due to some technical fault in the plane. According to information received from sources so far, 25 to 30 bodies have been recovered, most of which were found in a burnt condition.

Plane crashes within two minutes of takeoff

An Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London took off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport at 1.38 am. Within two minutes, the rear of the plane hit a tree. Due to which the plane crashed into a building. Many people were injured as the plane crashed with a bang.

‘Vijay Rupani was on board the plane’:
It has been reported that former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani was also on the same flight going to London. He was coming to meet his daughter and was traveling alone. Vijaybhai is not answering our phone, so the investigation is underway. Vijaybhai Rupani’s close aide Nitin Bhardwaj is in London, Vijaybhai Rupani was on the crashed Air India flight, but the current situation is being investigated. Rescue work is currently underway at the site and Vijaybhai Rupani’s condition is said to be critical.

Most of the passengers on the flight are believed to be Gujaratis:

Considering the seriousness of the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also spoken to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. However, the exact number of casualties or injuries in this incident has not been found yet. It is estimated that most of the passengers on this flight are Gujaratis.

Plane crash on the hostel-mess of the Civil Hospital? :

According to initial reports, this plane crash is said to have fallen on the residential hostel and mess of the Civil Hospital. During this, there was such a big explosion that the staff and patients of the Civil Hospital were also scared. Not only this, the blood pressure of many patients has also increased. The doctors on duty have also confirmed that the condition of many patients is critical due to the explosion.
