Due to the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan, the BCCI has postponed the IPL for a week. BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla gave this information on Friday. He said, it has now been postponed for a week. The new schedule will be announced after a week. At the same time, according to media reports, all foreign players have been asked to return to their countries. They will be informed as soon as the new dates are announced. Currently, 12 league matches and 4 playoff matches are left in the IPL. The final of the tournament was to be held on May 25. It is believed that India’s tour of Bangladesh in August will be canceled. The Asia Cup to be held in September will also be postponed. Instead, the remaining IPL matches may be held in India. The national anthem was played in honour of Operation Sindoor during the Chennai-Kolkata IPL match on Thursday. At around 8:30 pm on May 8, Pakistan attacked India’s Jammu, Punjab and Rajasthan borders with missiles and drones. During this, a match was being played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Batting first, Punjab scored 122 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 10.1 overs. After this, the floodlights of the ground were switched off and the spectators were sent home. Due to the war situation, a blackout was imposed in the city and the match was cancelled. This was the 58th match of the league stage.
