Another murder incident has come to light in Surat’s Godadara area. The husband found his wife sleeping in the room with a paddle in front of his two daughters. The daughter screamed after seeing her mother’s throat slit. After which she was immediately shifted to the hospital. However, the doctors declared the woman dead. According to the information received in this regard, 35-year-old Namrata Jaysukhbhai Vaniya, originally a resident of Amreli district and currently living in Sunday Lagoon Heights, Devadagam, Godadara, Surat, lived with her family. The family consists of mother-in-law, father-in-law, Derani, husband, an eight-year-old daughter and two three-year-old daughters. The family, living in a joint family, went to their respective rooms to sleep after having dinner. But at night, Namrataben and Jaysukhbhai had a fight over something. During this, around 1 am, Jaysukhbhai cut Namrataben’s throat with a paddle in the presence of both daughters. After which the room also became bloody. When the elder daughter woke up from her sleep, she screamed seeing her mother bleeding.

Jaysukhbhai occasionally worked as a casual laborer:
According to the family, Jaysukhbhai used to work as a casual laborer only occasionally. Most of the time, there were fights because he did not go to work. While Namrataben used to help financially by selling sarees and chania cholis. But Jaysukhbhai had a habit of drinking alcohol. There were frequent fights in the family because he did not go to work. Apart from this, Namrataben was also tortured by her in-laws.
