Finally, after these elections, another big suspense in Maharashtra politics is going to end today. The first cabinet expansion of Devendra Fadnavis’ grand alliance government will take place in Nagpur at 4 pm. The period of speculation regarding the long-pending cabinet expansion is now over. According to the information received, a total of 35 MLAs, 20 from BJP, 13 from Shiv Sena and 10 from the NCP alliance, will take oath as ministers. Governor CP Radhakrishnan is ready to administer the oath to the MLAs at the Raj Bhavan in Nagpur. Also, preparations for the ceremony are in full swing. With this, let’s take a look at the list. Ministers like BJP’s Pankaja Munde, Nitesh Rane, Girish Mahajan, Shivendra Raje, Devendra Bhuyar, Meghna Bordikar, Jayakumar Rawal, Mangal Prabhat Lodha have been called for oath. While the names of veteran leaders like Gulabrao Patil, Shambhuraj Desai, Chhagan Bhujbal from Shiv Sena, Aditi Tatkare from NCP are being considered final. From Ajit Pawar’s NCP, Aditi Tatkare, Babasaheb Patil, Dattamama Bharane, Hasan Mushrif, Narhari Zirwan can become ministers. According to sources, both the BJP allies may get the same portfolio as they had in the previous grand alliance government, although Shiv Sena may be given an additional ministry. Other parties involved in the grand alliance are the Shiv Sena led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar. Sources said that the BJP may give another important ministry to his party. Pawar is likely to get the finance ministry. In the team of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Uday Samant (Konkan), Shambhuraj Desai (West Maharashtra), Gulabrao Patil (North Maharashtra), Dada Bhuse (North Maharashtra), Sanjay Rathod (Vidarbha) will be given responsibility again. Also, these names are new in Team Shinde – Sanjay Shirsat (Marathwada), Bharatsheth Gogavale (Raigad), Prakash Abitkar (West Maharashtra), Yogesh Kadam (Konkan), Ashish Jaiswal (Vidarbha), Pratap Sarnaik (Thane).
