Railway DRM visited the redevelopment work of Ahmedabad Kalupur and Sabarmati railway stations. During this, he said that in order to make Kalpur railway station world-class with various facilities and to provide various facilities to the passengers, a plan will be made so that the passengers can get the facilities of normal train, metro rail and bullet train at the same time at Ahmedabad railway station. Ahmedabad railway station is an important railway station of Gujarat. It has 12 platforms and 16 tracks. Under the developed rail journey, the railways are renovating about 1300 small and big railway stations of the country at a cost of crores. In which 16 stations including Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Maninagar, Bhuj, Vatva, Asarwa, Bhildi, Viramgam, Dhangadhra in Gujarat will be developed at a cost of more than 9000 crores. According to the Railway Ministry, Rs 2383 crore will be spent on Ahmedabad station, Rs 340 crore on Sabarmati station and about Rs 300 crore on Bhuj station. The railway system plans to complete the renovation work of all these stations by the year 2027. At that time, railway officials including DRM of Western Railway Sudhir Kumar Sharma visited Ahmedabad, Sabarmati railway station on Wednesday and reviewed the redevelopment work. During this, they said that the work of all the railway stations will be completed in the next three years. In particular, to make Ahmedabad Kalupur railway station a world-class transport hub, about Rs 2383 crore will be spent on the main building, parcel department, roads and other facilities. Currently, three platforms have been closed due to the bullet train work, while 12 stations will be reactivated after the renovation work of the stations is completed. 4 lifts and 4 accelerators will be installed on each platform. Apart from this, a public plaza will be built near the hanging minarets near the station, similar to the design of the Sun Temple in Modhera. Which will be useful for passengers to sit and walk around while coming and going to the station. Since the Kalupur area is a very dense area, a 6-lane elevation bridge will be built from Kalupur Bridge to Sarangpur Bridge. Through which passengers will be able to travel directly to and from the railway station from the bridge. Ahmedabad railway station will be the first station in India, from where passengers will be able to get the facilities of normal train, metro rail and bullet train from a single place.
