When the District SOG police were checking vehicles near Jarod Chowkdi on the Vadodara Halol State Highway yesterday afternoon, they stopped a CNG rickshaw passing by and asked the name of its driver. Zahiruddin Shabbirbhai Malek, a resident of Chambusha Bawano Tekro, near GEB, was found. When his rickshaw was searched, a brown plastic bag was found under the front seat of the rickshaw. On checking this bag, a quantity of marijuana was found. The police found 995 grams of marijuana, a mobile phone and seized the goods worth Rs 84,980. When interrogating Zahiruddin about the quantity of ganja, he said that a person named Mohsin Sheikh had given me water at a cost near Raja-Rani Lake in Panigate area of ​​Vadodara and sent it to Soniben Afzalbhai, who lives in society number 51 in Halol, and from there he was returning to Vadodara with the quantity of ganja. Jarod police have registered a case in this regard and are conducting further investigation.
