Rajeev Kumar on EVM Tampering Issue: After the Haryana assembly elections, the opposition once again raised the issue of EVM tampering. The Election Commission has also announced the dates for Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections today. Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said earlier that the people have answered all the questions by enthusiastically participating in the election process. As far as EVMs are concerned, this is 100 percent full-proof. If the opposition raises the question again, we will answer them.’
Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that EVMs can also be hacked the way Israel hacked Hezbollah’s pagers. In Maharashtra, the opposition should push for elections to be held through ballot papers. He said on social media that the Election Commission has been informed about the issue related to EVMs. There are fears of tampering in EVMs in Haryana assembly elections.

Congress leader Pawan Kheda said that a list of 20 seats has been given to the Election Commission on which there is a suspicion of EVM tampering. In 20 seats, our candidates made written or oral complaints. This issue was raised during the enumeration. Some EVMs were showing 99 percent batkey charge. It is a strange coincidence that the Congress faced defeat in a machine which was 99 percent charged. The machines where the battery was 60-70 percent charged, the Congress won. Why was this happening?’
