From the next academic year 2025-26, the courses in various subjects will be changed in schools under the Gujarat Board in classes 1 to 8. So 19 books will be canceled and new ones will be applied. Books on various subjects including Gujarati, Maths and Science will vary across media. When a new chapter is added to the subject of economics in class 12, the book of this subject will also be changed and a new syllabus will be taught to the students. Millions of books will be newly printed and sent to schools.
Books including Gujarati, Mathematics, Science will be changed in all mediums:
From the next academic year, new books will be implemented in different grades by Gujarat State Textbook Board and the existing books will be canceled and new books will be implemented in schools. According to the list published by the Text Book Board, Mathematics (bilingual) in all mediums in Class 8, Mathematics in all mediums in Class 3 and 6, English as second language in Gujarati medium in Class 6 and Sanskrit as compulsory in Class 7 and 2 and Mathematics, Science And social science and general education subject books will be newly applicable. In class 8th, science will be changed to bilingual in all medium and Gujarati first language will be changed to Gujarati medium.
In std.3 environment in all media and std. Science book in 6th will change in all media. St. In 7th Marathi first language book will be changed to Marathi medium and in class 1 and class 2 Gujarati subject book will be changed to Gujarati medium. Gujarati second language book in std.1 and 2 will be replaced by other media. Apart from this, the book of economics in class 12 will be taught in schools from next year. A new chapter on Natural Food Forest and Crop Protection has been added to the present book.
