Gang war breaks out amid election in Haryana, 3 youths killed in indiscriminate firing

Amidst the elections in Haryana, there is a gang war between Rahul Baba and Palotra gang in Rohtak district. On Thursday (September 20th) night, motorcycle-borne assailants fired indiscriminately at five youths near Sonepat Road in Rohtak and fled the scene. Three youths have died in this firing, while two others have been seriously injured. The three deceased have been identified as Jaideep (30), Amit Nandal (37) and Vinay (28). All these are residents of Bohar village. While the injured have been identified as Anuj (29) and Manoj (32). Both are residents of Arya Nagar in Rohtak. According to reports, the police are investigating the shooting incident. The police are considering the incident as revenge for the attack on gangster Rahul Baba in Sunaria Jail 10 months ago. Immediately after this incident, Rahul alias Baba took responsibility for the incident by putting a post on social media. Rahul Baba is currently out of jail on bail and was seen at a birthday party two days ago. The social media post reads, ‘Azad gang takes full responsibility for whatever happened today. Jai Bhavani.’ Rahul Baba, Kala, Praveen Dada and Anil Chippi are given the names in the post along with the hashtag. It may be noted that gangster Rahul Baba was fatally attacked on 29th December 2023 in Sunaria Jail. Four inmates attacked Rahul Baba with sharp weapons near the jail canteen. Rahul was admitted to PGI for treatment.

Palotra gang blamed for attack on Rahul:
The attack on Rahul was blamed on the Sumit Palotra gang. The four inmates registered by the police for assault include Bhagat Singh alias Bhagata of Kiloi, Sohit alias Rancho of Mokhra, Vikrant of Mokhra Khas and Arun alias Bholu of Chhara village in Jhajjar. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the FSL expert team also inspected the incident site. In the preliminary investigation, the police have called it a case of gang war.
