While rains are active in some parts of the country at the end of the monsoon season, Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has expressed the possibility of light to moderate rains in some parts of Gujarat and said, ‘While the state is currently experiencing heat, rain showers will occur at scattered places till September 22. In which there may be rain in some areas including North Gujarat. Ambalal Patel has said that, since the Bay of Bengal becomes active from September 22, there may be slow rain in some parts of Gujarat from September 27 to 29. In which rain may occur in areas of south Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Anand. When a new monsoon system forms on September 28, creating a storm in Bengal, heavy rains may occur in South Gujarat. There is a possibility of rain due to system formation in Navratri too. In which there may be light to heavy rain in some parts including Saurashtra.’
Chance of rain showers after Sharad Poonam:
He said, ‘Even after Sharad Poonam, rain showers may occur. Apart from this, due to the effect of El Nino, the cold season may begin after December 3, which will see an increase in the intensity of cold by December 22.’
