Surat : Ganapati in Surat city and after its establishment, many Ganesha idols have been left hanging on the dividers. The feelings of Ganesha devotees looking up at many idols are hurt, due to which the municipal government has come into action and started the exercise of dismantling the idols. A large number of Ganesha idols are installed in the city of Surat during the Ganesha festival. People come to sell Ganapati idols in different areas of Surat. The municipality trades these statues on footpaths and roads. However, after the establishment of Ganesha, the traders selling idols on the road have suddenly disappeared. Because of this, a large number of Ganesha statues are being seen on the sidewalks and dividers in the city. The feelings of Ganesha devotees are hurting by seeing the statue like this. On coming to know about this, the municipal administration has taken the statues from the New Civil Road through the central zone of the municipality to Dacca, where the exercise will be carried out to immerse them in the artificial lake.
