Gandhidham: Based on a tip-off, the police raided a gambling den running in the society’s residential area in Meghpar Kumbhardi, Anjar. In which a total of 9 persons including 5 gambling women were given cash and 6 mobile phones with a total of Rs. 1.56 lakh worth of money has been seized. According to the information received in this regard, K. Varshaba Bhimdev Singh Rana, who lives in house No. 42 of Siddharth Nagar near G Manek School, is calling the players from outside for his own benefit and gambling in his occupied residential house. Based on the information, the East Kutch LCB team raided a residential house in Siddharthnagar. In the raid, the police along with house owner Varshaba, Vikram Singh Molubha Jadeja, Yashpal Singh Naval Singh Jhala, Kuldeep Prabhulal Chauhan, Shaktisinh Mangal Singh Parmar, Pawanba Nirubha Jadeja, Vanitaben Sanketbhai Shah, Muktaben Jayeshbhai Gadhvi and Rajiben Shankarbhai Thakor cashed Rs. 1,01,500 and including 6 mobile phones total Rs. 1,56,500 worth of stolen property. In which the police registered a case against all the arrested accused under sections of Gambling Act and conducted further investigation.
