Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has been in the news for the last few days due to her controversial statement, now her film ‘Emergency’ has also come under controversy. Former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjitsinh Channi has said that if the film is to be released, the approval of the SGPC will have to be taken first. The former Chief Minister of Punjab has clearly said in a conversation with the media that, ‘Until Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency is approved by SGPC i.e. Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee, it will not be released. Since the film is showing anything about Sikh history, SGPC approval is required for release. Filmmaker and Kangana Ranaut are advised to release the film only after getting proper certificate from SGPC. He also said that communal brotherhood is very important in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and it is necessary to maintain it. He has advised Kangana regarding the film, that she should pay serious attention to any controversial issues. The history of Punjab is one of love and peace between the Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities and there have been no incidents of riots.
