Rajkot : In Rajkot, a mentally disturbed mother’s own son strangled her with a blanket and posted a status on social media saying ‘I killed my mom, miss my mom’. Gandhigram-2 Police has detained the accused’s son and is continuing the investigation. The accused son has complained to the police that he was tired of killing his mother because she was frequently making noise, swearing and quarreling. According to the information received from the police, Jyothiben Jaswantgar Gosai (aged 48), who lives in RMC quarters near Bhagatsinghji Garden on University Road, Early in the morning, his son Nilesh (age 22) called a friend after killing him with a blanket and informed him about it. So Nilesh’s friend informed 108 and the police and the staff of 108 went to the spot and declared Jyothiben dead. In the preliminary inquiry, Nilesh told the police that his parents got divorced when he was one and a half years old. After the divorce, he lived with his mother. But as the mother’s mental condition was not good, she was kept in a nursing home. Apart from this, he was also admitted to the hospital. Due to which he was sent to Home for Boys in Kutch. Then he came out of the Home for Boys as an adult and started living with his mother. His mother had been on medication for mental illness for a long time. But for the last month or so, his mother had stopped taking the medicine. As a side effect of which his mother used to make a lot of noise. They used to speak abusive language too. Last night, he was suffocated with a blanket and strangled to death in the early hours of the morning after a quarrel.
