Ahmedabad: Incessant rains have left Gujarat inundated. Not only that, it has created an atmosphere like torrential rain. The entire state administration is geared up with a zero-casualty approach following the meteorological department’s forecast of extremely heavy rains, yet the rains have claimed 28 lives in just four days. In Vadodara, there is a flood-like situation, while in Dwarka, a water-bombing situation has also occurred. Rivers overflowing at many places have flooded the areas. Roads have also turned into bats. Rivers Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, apart from dams, lakes, rivers have also overflowed. Following the order of the state government, people have been instructed not to go to these places. Migration is being done in riverside areas. Amid this situation, 13 people have lost their lives due to drowning in the last four days. 13 people have died due to the collapse of the building and wall. Apart from this, two people have died due to falling trees. Drowning incidents have occurred in Halwad, Borsad, Tarapur, Dahod, Limkheda, Dhrangadhra, Ahwa, Halol, Dholka and Maninagar, while deaths have occurred in Mahudha, Lunawada, Sanand, Khambhat due to falling buildings and walls. Two people were killed by falling trees in Bhanwad and Petlad.

PM Modi spoke to CM Bhupendra:
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again spoke to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today and reviewed the situation in Gujarat. PM Modi also got information about the assistance provided by the Centre. Along with this, guidance was given to normalize public life. So far 5 National Highways, 2 NHAI, 66 State Highways, 92 Other Roads, 774 Panchayat roads have been closed and a total of 939 roads have been closed. A total of 41000 people have been moved to safer places since the onset of monsoon in Gujarat, in which the highest number is 10000 in Vadodara, 9500 in Navsari, 3800 in Surat, 2700 in Kheda, 2300 in Anand, 2041 in Porbandar, 1955 in Jamnagar. Due to formation of low pressure zone, most of the states including Delhi, Bihar, UP, Gujarat, Himachal and Uttarakhand are likely to receive heavy rains today and in the next few days.
