Incessant rain across the district including Junagadh, Girnar received 4 inches of rain with 154 km/h winds

Junagadh : Junagadh district received heavy rain with strong winds yesterday. The wind blew at Girnar nine times faster than the city. Heavy winds and 4 inches of rain flooded the Kalwa and Sonrakh rivers again today. Apart from this, three to three inches of rain fell in Bhensan, Junagadh, Vanthali, Manavadar Panthak.The wind speed has increased since last night when the whole district including Junagadh has been receiving incessant rain for the past three days. Today, the wind blew at a speed of 16.8 in Junagadh city. When the wind blew at a speed of 154 km on Mount Girnar. Due to strong winds, Girnar became a storm-like situation. Four inches of rain fell on Girnar with high winds. Due to wind and rain there was darkness over Girnar. Sheets, plastic of shops on steps were blown away. There has been blackout for two days due to power pole falling. There was a heavy presence of pilgrims at Girnar during the day today. Due to this rain, there was water in Kalwa and Sonarakh rivers even today. While four inches of rain fell in Bhesan Panthak today. Farms in rural areas were inundated with water. While Junagadh city, Vanthali and Manavdar sub-divisions received three to three inches of rain. Apart from this, Mendara, Maliya Hatina, Visavadar panthak received one and a half inches of rain, Keshod one inch, Mangrol half an inch of rain. As incessant rains have led to waterlogging in rural areas, people are worried.
