Ahmedabad : Currently three rain systems are simultaneously active over Gujarat. As a result, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in most of the districts of Gujarat. In the last three days, Ahmedabad has experienced rainy weather. Today, on August 24, the city is under darkness since the morning of Saturday. After the night, it is dark as if it has not dawned. It has started raining slowly in every area of the city since seven o’clock in the morning. By eight o’clock, about half an inch of rain has fallen in Naroda, the highest. Areas including Maninagar, Vatwa, Kathwara, Nikol, Airport, Odhav, Gomtipur have received rain. Along with this, motorists have to use lights even during the day. Only the lights of the vehicles are visible on the road. Apart from this, rain has also started in Surat and Vadodara. Today, yellow alert has been declared in several districts of Gujarat with heavy rain forecast. Amidst the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Ahmedabad experienced thunderstorms for the third consecutive day. As the rain has changed the pattern, after the unbearable heat for the last few days, 153 talukas have received rain in 24 hours across the state including Ahmedabad. Memco-Naroda area was inundated with over two inches of rain on Friday. Rainy weather has been observed in most parts of Ahmedabad since early morning today. Flooding has started in low-lying areas of the city. On the other hand, the Mitakhali underpass has been closed. It may be mentioned here that heavy to very heavy rain has been predicted in Ahmedabad district for the next two days by the Meteorological Department. Meghraja has arrived again in Surat. It is raining everywhere in different areas of the city. It is raining everywhere in Adajan, Jahangirpura, Rander, Katargam, Khatodara, Piplod, Vesun, Athwalines, Amroli, Varachha, Kapodra, Undhana, Dindoli areas of the city. Due to which the atmosphere has cooled down. However, due to the absence of rain for a long time, the temperature in the atmosphere also increased. So people felt great shock. However, the people have also got relief from the heat as the atmosphere cools down as soon as it rains. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in South Gujarat including Surat in the next two days. According to Tej, it has been raining in Surat since late night.
