Surat Corporation Controversy: Another controversy has emerged over the banks allocated from the grant of the Surat Corporation Corporation. Until now, banks used to reach small apartments or rooftops. But now the corporator’s grant has reached the parking lot and gallery of the bungalow worth crores of rupees placed at the gate of the society. However, despite the society having complained in writing to the municipality, many questions are being raised against the functioning of the municipality without taking any action. These benches are placed for use by passers-by or people outside the society’s campus. However, for some time now, there have been complaints of many abuses of the grant bank of the municipal corporator. Banks of grants of corporators were found in many private places one after another. But at present, the complaints about the corporator’s grant bank in Rander zone of the municipality are very serious. Prithvi row house in Adajan area in Rander zone of Surat municipality was placed near the gate outside. In the gallery of a bungalow of the Nawa Bankda Society, named after Nagarsevak Ketan Mehta, one in the garden and one in the parking lot by the owner of the bungalow. Although the residents of the society have complained to both the municipality and the corporator, no action has been taken. It has been alleged in the complaint that the owner of a bungalow where the benches are placed has also removed the name of the municipal servant from the benches. Despite such a serious complaint, no action is being taken against the functioning of the municipality.
