Statue of Unity: Two tribals have been beaten to death near the ‘Adivasi Museum’ being prepared near the Statue of Unity in Kevadia of Narmada district in fear of theft. Namarda District Superintendent of Police Prashant Sumbe said that the incident took place on the night of August 6. The deceased have been identified as Jayesh Tadvi and Sanjay Tadvi. The details about this are that Jayesh Shanabhai Tadvi, who lives in the lower paliya of Kevadia village of Garudeshwar taluk, and Sanjay Gajendrabhai Tadvi, who lives in the lower paliya of Gabhana village, both went to the tribal museum. This time, suspecting that both of them had come to steal, while working in the museum, the employees caught both of them and tied their hands and later took them to a room and beat them with plastic pipes, sticks and sticks.


After this incident, both were taken to Garudeshwar hospital for treatment, where Jayesh Tadvi and Sanjay Tadvi died during the treatment. Garudeshwar police and MLAs from Nandod and Dediapada rushed to the hospital as soon as the incident was reported. The district police chief said that in this incident we have registered a complaint under assault, atrocity and other crimes and arrested Margish Dhirpada, Deval Patel, Deepakkumar Yadav, Vanraj Taviad, Shailesh Taviad and Umesh Gupta working in the museum. He added that two of the people who have been arrested are from Panchmahal district while the other accused are from other states. In this regard, the Garudeshwar police registered a complaint of the injured Sanjay Tadvi in ​​which he said that both I and my deceased friend Jayesh had found pieces of iron bars lying in the open space of the museum. They went there thinking to steal in the hope of getting money by selling the scrap. Then the assailants rushed us and attacked us by chanting racial slurs.
6 people allegedly involved in this attack have been arrested. He has been charged with murder. Mansukh Vasava, BJP MP from Bharuch seat, said that the company has already given Rs 20 lakh each to the families.
