Meteorological department has given orange alert in 5 districts and yellow alert for rain in other districts. Since early morning today, it has been raining in South Gujarat including Surat and in Saurashtra. It rained in 152 talukas of the state from 6 am to 8 pm, in which 29 talukas, including Palsana in Surat, received more than 1 inch of rain. In Ahmedabad, S.G. Highway, Gota, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Shyamal, Shivranjani, Satellite, Vejalpur, Nehrunagar, Prahladnagar have reached Meghraja with lightning strikes. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in the state today.
