Eating a healthy diet can reduce the risk of suffering from kidney disease. A recent research has shown this. Scientists at Bond University in Australia analyzed the dietary habits of more than 630,000 people in a decade.

They found that those who consumed more fruits, vegetables and fish than processed meats, salt and cold drinks were 30 percent less likely to develop chronic kidney disease (CKD).

This incurable condition can range from a mild symptom, a lesser disorder, to kidney failure, where the organs do not function at all. Principal researcher Dr. Jamon Jelly said, the results of this research support earlier research that the process of healthy eating should be followed.
‘These results may help develop public health prevention programs for CKD, which may be helpful in reducing the burden of disease.’
