BonV Aero, a deep-tech firm is all set to deploy its heavy payload drones, capable of carrying a payload up to 25 kgs at Girnar Hill performing multiple sorties in Gujarat to improve transportation and waste management. The initiative aims to ease the movement of goods and support temple authorities, vendors, and pilgrims in maintaining supply chains and cleanliness.Girnar Hill, rising to 3,660 feet, is home to several temples, including the Jain Temple Complex, Mata Rani Temple, the Dargah of Saint Gorakhnath, Kalika Temple, and Guru Dattatreya Temple. The site attracts over a million visitors each year, and while the Girnar Ropeway has improved access, transporting supplies and managing waste remain challenging. These heavy payload drones are designed for places where conventional transport is not an option,” said BonV Aero’s Co-Founder & CTO, Abinash Sahoo. “By integrating aerial logistics at Girnar, we aim to support temple authorities, vendors, and pilgrims, making supply chains more efficient and waste management more structured.”At present, temple supplies, food, and other necessities are carried manually by porters up thousands of steps. This method is time-consuming and physically demanding. Waste disposal is another issue, as there is no structured system for collection and transportation. BonV Aero aims to address both problems by introducing these heavy payload drones, which will transport goods and remove waste efficiently while reducing dependence on manual labour. The challenges at Girnar Hill are not unique. Many remote and high-altitude locations across India face similar logistical difficulties. Villages in the Himalayas, disaster-affected areas, and tribal settlements often struggle with transport and connectivity. These drones offer a system that can be adapted to different terrains, ensuring better access to essential goods and services with its self-flying technology.“Our goal is to address logistical issues in difficult & hard to reach locations,” said Abinash. “This initiative is part of a wider effort to strengthen logistics and support local communities.”With its deployment at Girnar Hill, BonV Aero joins a growing number of firms using drone technology to improve transportation and waste management in areas where traditional methods often fail.
