
JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Business Leader of the Decade’ award at the 15th AIMA Managing India Awards. The honour has been conferred for his transformational leadership in expanding the JSW Group into a global conglomerate. Mr. Jindal was conferred with the award at a function in the presence of the Chief Guest, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and the Special Guest, Commerce & Industry, Electronics & IT Minister Shri Jiten Prasad. The citation was read out by Mr. Yejdi Nagpurewala, Chief Executive Officer, KPMG India. Under Mr. Jindal’s leadership, the JSW Group has achieved significant growth and its revenues have more than doubled to US$ 24 billion. Due to his strategic vision, JSW’s annual steel production capacity has almost tripled to 39 million tonnes and the group has also gained significant presence in renewable energy and cement manufacturing. The award recognizes Mr. Jindal’s significant role in aligning the JSW Group with the initiative to modernize India’s infrastructure. Under his leadership, JSW has emerged as the second largest company in the Indian port sector and has also entered futuristic areas including electric vehicles and military drones through international partnerships. The All India Management Association (AIMA) Managing India Awards celebrate outstanding contributions to India’s business landscape. The ceremony brought together distinguished award winners, industry leaders and AIMA office bearers for this landmark 15th edition of the awards.
