Speaking with the founder of C-TAG, Mr. Parshabhai Gandhi, it was learned that the organization encourages the overall development of students. As part of this effort, C-TAG runs a student group called “V R 1” that engages in social service. For the past two years, this group has been carrying out humanitarian activities every month. Students cook meals themselves, fill large containers, and serve food to around 200 or more underprivileged individuals and their children. This time, they decided to celebrate their Foundation Day in a different manner.Speaking with the co-founder of the organization, Ms. Palakben Gandhi, she shared that she has been in the field of computer education for the past 22 years. She initially started teaching from home. With the blessings, support, and love of her mother-in-law, the late Induben Gandhi, her “Palak Gandhi Computer Classes” thrived. Seeing students achieve good marks made Induben happy and encouraged Palakben to progress further. To appreciate students’ hard work and dedication, she started PGCC Day. Since Induben’s birthday was on February 4th, they decided to commemorate her contributions and express their respect by celebrating PGCC Day on the same date. This year, C-TAG students suggested celebrating Foundation Day through an act of kindness. As part of this initiative, they organized a celebration at a well-known restaurant on SG Highway with underprivileged children aged approximately 4 to 15 years. They played various games with the children, danced, laughed a lot, and enjoyed a meal together. They also discussed the importance of education and how it can bring positive changes in life, along with raising awareness about the harmful effects of addiction.Seeing things on a phone screen and experiencing them in real life are very different—words cannot describe the joy and happiness on the children’s faces. The four-hour event passed by in what felt like moments.Speaking with a C-TAG student, they shared that this experience made them realize how much their parents had given them and how valuable it is. They also learned that the satisfaction and happiness gained from serving others is unmatched by anything else.A parent also shared their thoughts, saying that in today’s world, it is commendable that C-TAG teaches its students such valuable humanitarian lessons. It is hoped that V R 1 will continue such activities in the future and extend help to even more people.
