After the scuffle between ruling party and opposition MPs on Thursday in the Parliament premises, complaints have been filed by BJP and Congress at the police station. According to information received from sources, preparations are now underway to hand over the investigation of these complaints to the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. Let us tell you that this incident took place after Home Minister Amit Shah made a statement on Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in the Rajya Sabha. Two BJP MPs were injured in the scuffle. After this incident, a complaint was filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at the police station, in which he has been accused of assault, incitement and attempt to murder. BJP MP Anurag Thakur told the media after filing the complaint, ‘We have filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi at the Delhi police station for assault and incitement. We have described the incident in detail. The incident took place outside Makar Dwar, where NDA MPs were peacefully protesting. We have registered a complaint under sections 109 (attempt to murder), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 125 (negligent act endangering the personal safety or life of another), 131 (assault) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. The Delhi Police has registered an FIR based on the BJP’s complaint. According to sources, a day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was booked in connection with the scuffle in the Parliament premises, the police are likely to record the statements of the two injured MPs on Friday and may call the Leader of Opposition for questioning, they said. The Delhi Police is also likely to write to the Parliament Secretariat, seeking CCTV footage of the area where the alleged incident took place. Senior police officials may also consider transferring the case from the local police to the crime branch.

Congress files complaint:
The Congress has also filed a complaint at the police station alleging indecency with party president Mallikarju Kharge in the Parliament premises. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said, ‘The way a Dalit leader was insulted yesterday and pushed today, all this is a conspiracy.’ Rahul Gandhi’s sister and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on behalf of the Congress, attacked the BJP and said that the FIR of the BJP leader is wrong. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh alleged, ‘Delhi Police will do whatever the Home Minister tells them. Everyone talked about Dr. Ambedkar’s apology, but all this plan has been hatched to divert attention from this incident. This FIR is not against Rahul Gandhi, but against Dr. Ambedkar.’
