The results of the Maharashtra assembly elections are being announced today. In the trend so far, BJP and Mandani’s NDA chariot are leading, and there are figures that BJP can form the government alone. This will have a direct impact on the constituent parties of the NDA alliance, i.e. Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
What will happen to the parties? :
If BJP does not have to rely on allies to form the government, then Shiv Sena and NCP will not get big ministerial posts. Emerging as the largest party in the state, BJP will make its own party’s person the Chief Minister and will also keep other important portfolios with itself. This time, Shiv Sena and NCP will not have the opportunity to bargain to get the desired post by pressing BJP’s nose. With BJP getting a huge lead in the election results, there has been a demand on social media to make Devendra Fadnavis the Chief Minister. Devendra Fadnavis is leading by a lead of 12402 votes in Nagpur South West seat.
What will happen to Eknath Shinde? :
What will happen to the current Chief Minister Eknath Shinde if BJP becomes the Chief Minister in Maharashtra? He may be sent to Delhi or given the post of Deputy Chief Minister. But will Shinde accept it? NCP’s Ajit Pawar will also have to make do with whatever he gets from BJP’s kindness. In short, if he gets a chance to single-handedly gain power in the state, BJP will become stronger in the NDA than before.
