Mahayuti has once again been able to form government in Maharashtra. By 10 am in the counting of votes for the assembly elections being held today, Mahayuti was leading in 210 seats while Maha Vikas Aghadi was leading in 70 seats. According to the Election Commission data, by 10.09 am, BJP was leading in 109 seats, Shiv Sena in 56 seats, NCP in 34 seats. While Shiv Sena (UBT) was leading in 19 seats, Congress in 19 seats and NCP (Sharad Pawar) in 11 seats with a majority. Independents also got a significant lead in 15 seats.
Ajit Pawar, Devendra Fadnavis ahead:
Ajit Pawar is leading by 3759 votes from Maharashtra’s high-profile seat Baramati. In the initial trend, he has secured 9391 votes. While his nephew Yugendra Pawar managed to secure 5632 votes. It is worth mentioning that the counting of votes is still going on. On the other hand, Devendra Fadnavis is leading with a lead of 6811 votes in Nagpur South West seat. Till the time of writing the news, he had secured 13712 votes, while Congress’s Prafulla has secured 6901 votes.
